A crystalline, mildly psychoactive cannabinoid C21H26O2 that is found in very small quantities in cannabis as a breakdown product of THC and is believed to have sedative properties

Endocannabinoid

Any of several chemical compounds (such as anandamide) that are naturally produced within the body and bind to the same brain receptors as compounds.

A vertebrate hormone that is derived from serotonin, is secreted by the pineal gland especially in response to darkness, and has been linked to the regulation of circadian sleep rhythms

Any of a genus (Valeriana of the family Valerianaceae, the valerian family) of perennial herbs and shrubs many of which possess medicinal properties used especially formerly as a carminative and sedative
